Darryl A. Jenkins

Darryl A. Jenkins is a dedicated attorney practicing in family law, juvenile law, and personal injury in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She graduated magna cum laude from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, ranking in the top five of her class. During her time in law school, Darryl served as a teaching assistant for the Lawyering Skills course, where she taught legal writing and research to first-year students.

Darryl received best in class awards in Lawyering Skills, Sentencing Law, Torts, and Workers’ Compensation, and achieved perfect scores in Criminal Law and Pre-Trial Criminal Procedure. She gained valuable experience through a judicial externship with the Honorable Scott A. Lipke and contributed as a staff member to the SIU Law Journal. In 2017, she completed an internship with the Capital Habeas Unit at the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Tallahassee, Florida, focusing on federal appellate death penalty cases.

Raised in Jackson, Darryl completed her undergraduate degree at Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in Criminal Justice. During her studies, she was an active member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Following her graduation from SEMO, Darryl worked with the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the Missouri Children’s Division, where she investigated child abuse and neglect cases.
