About Sander Sowers
Sander Sowers is a seasoned attorney in Columbia, Missouri, with extensive experience in a wide range of litigation areas. His practice focuses on representing individuals in serious personal injury, workers’ compensation, mass torts, and wage and hour (overtime) cases, as well as collective and class action lawsuits.
Sander is actively involved in numerous professional associations and community activities. He was elected by his peers to serve on the Missouri Bar Association Board of Governors as the District 15 representative. Before this role, he served on the Missouri Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Section Council as the District 5 representative and later became Chair of the Young Lawyers’ Section.
In recognition of his contributions, Sander received the Dr. Warren Solomon Civic Virtue Award in 2016 for his efforts with the Missouri Bar Association’s citizen education program. He is also a committed member of the Boone County Bar Association, having chaired the Young Lawyers Committee and currently leading the Community Involvement Committee. His dedication to organizing the Boone County Bar Association’s annual charity golf tournament earned him the Outstanding Service Award in 2015.
Sander also contributes to the legal community by serving on the board of directors of the Missouri Lawyer Trust Account Foundation. His past community involvement includes participation in the Columbia Chapter of Rotaract and serving on the board of directors of the Family Counseling Center of Missouri.
Outside of his legal practice, Sander enjoys various hobbies, such as golf, water sports, and supporting the University of Missouri basketball and football teams.
