Jeffrey A. Kennard

Jeffrey A. Kennard leads the construction and design practice group at his firm, bringing extensive experience since 1994. He serves a wide range of clients, including owners, design-builders, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, and subcontractors. His practice spans projects such as petroleum and bio-fuel refineries, fossil-fuel and geothermal power plants, and industrial facilities, among others.

Jeff's primary focus is on litigation, where he has successfully tried or arbitrated over 20 construction disputes to verdict or award. His expertise is recognized in both Kansas and Missouri as he handles complex issues like claims for delays, disruptions, lost productivity, and acceleration, as well as disputes involving additional compensation due to unknown site conditions, wrongful termination, and defective design drawings.

Jeff also addresses construction defect claims, claims under the Miller Act, similar state statutes, and mechanic’s lien claims. His comprehensive approach ensures that clients receive proficient legal support at every stage of a construction project.
