Shane P Cantin

Shane Cantin is a dedicated attorney based in Lebanon, Missouri, focusing primarily on criminal defense and related litigation. Since 1993, he has represented clients in state courts across Southwest Missouri and in United States District Courts in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Illinois. His expertise includes handling over 500 serious felony cases and numerous misdemeanor cases.

Shane's extensive experience encompasses charges such as murder, including death penalty cases, as well as fraud, complex financial crimes, internet-related offenses, conspiracy, drug-related offenses, robbery, and firearm offenses. He regularly appears in both state and federal courts to defend clients against these serious charges.

In addition to his criminal defense work, Shane has a strong background in family law, particularly in complex divorce and custody issues. Although he now limits his family law practice to Greene and Christian County, he continues to accept a select number of these cases.

Raised in Northwest Arkansas, Shane graduated from College of the Ozarks near Branson, Missouri, in 1991. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1993. Before entering private practice in 1995, he worked at the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the City Attorney’s Office in Springfield, Missouri.

Shane is an active member of the Missouri Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.
