Joel Krautter

Joel Krautter is a dedicated trial lawyer serving clients in Montana and North Dakota. He focuses his practice on advocating for the disabled, injured, and those wrongly accused, while upholding constitutional rights. Joel brings his expertise to areas such as social security disability appeals (SSDI & SSI), personal injury, criminal law, and constitutional rights. Additionally, he provides services in estate and Medicaid planning, mineral rights, and probate.

Joel graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 2014 and Liberty University in 2011. He further honed his trial skills at the Gerry Spence Method Trial College in 2023. He is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, Montana Trial Lawyers, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives. Joel is also a member of the Yellowstone Area Bar Association and Northeast Montana Bar Association.

Practicing with the Netzer Krautter Law Firm, P.C., Joel works alongside senior partner Donald Netzer, who specializes in estate and Medicaid planning, real estate, and probate matters. The firm operates offices in Sidney and Billings, Montana. Beyond his legal practice, Joel served in the Montana House of Representatives from 2019 to 2020 and currently contributes to the boards of Friends of the Montana Constitution and Friends of Montana PBS.

Originally from Deer Lodge, Montana, Joel now resides in Billings. In his leisure time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his golden retriever, Rusty, and engages in travel, hiking, hunting, golfing, and skiing.
