Peter K Elverum graduated with honors from Montana State University in 2006. Following his graduation, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army and pursued his legal education at Gonzaga University School of Law. After passing the Montana Bar in 2009, Peter chose to serve on active duty as an Infantry Officer. He completed the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Airborne School, and Ranger School at Fort Benning, Georgia.
During his military service, Peter was deployed to Afghanistan and Kuwait, where he earned the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge for his service in Afghanistan. After five years of active duty, he returned to Montana to join the Montana National Guard and establish his private legal practice.
