David Bjornson

David Bjornson has dedicated nearly 30 years to the legal profession, practicing in both Seattle, Washington, and Missoula, Montana. His expertise encompasses business transactions, corporate law, real estate, tax litigation, estate planning, and alternative dispute resolution. As a member of Bjornson Law Offices, a respected firm founded in 1998 in Missoula, he provides comprehensive legal services.

Before his current role, Mr. Bjornson was affiliated with several prominent firms, including Garlington, Lohn & Robinson, PLLP, and Boone, Karlberg & Haddon in Missoula, as well as Monahan & Biagi and Bogle & Gates in Seattle.

David's career began as a certified public accountant with Touche Ross & Co., an international accounting firm. He holds a Masters of Laws degree (LL.M.) in taxation from New York University (1988), a J.D. with honors from the University of Montana (1985), and a B.A. in Business Administration with honors from the same institution (1979). He earned his CPA certificate in 1981.

Mr. Bjornson is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and the U.S. Federal District Court in Montana. He is a member of the American Association of Attorneys â Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Advisory Board for the Annual UM Tax Institute. He is also part of the Missoula Estate Planning Council.

Recognized in the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for his excellence in corporate law, Mr. Bjornson is esteemed by peers and the public alike. His practice has significantly concentrated on affordable housing projects using IRC Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credits, representing clients in Montana, Washington, Wyoming, and North Dakota.
