Michael John Fitzpatrick

Michael J. Fitzpatrick began his career in law enforcement, serving as a police officer for three decades after earning a degree from the State of Nebraska Police Academy in Grand Island. His passion for law led him to pursue a legal education, culminating in a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2000.

Following his graduation, Michael embarked on a legal career encompassing both prosecution and defense roles across various jurisdictions. As an Assistant County Legal Counsel in Woodbury, Iowa, he distinguished himself as the chief DUI prosecutor and led the DUI division in the state's second-largest County Attorney’s office. He later transitioned to the State of Iowa’s Public Defender’s office, representing clients across five counties.

Returning to Omaha, Michael served as a Douglas County Public Defender and as a prosecutor in the Omaha City Prosecutor’s Office. In October 2005, he established his private practice, focusing on criminal defense. Since then, he has handled numerous cases, leveraging his comprehensive background in DUIs and other criminal offenses to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients.
