Jared Holzhauser

Jared Holzhauser is a dedicated attorney based in Crete, Nebraska, with a focus on litigation, mediation, family law, and employment law. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law, where he honed his legal skills as a Senior-Certified Student Guardian ad Litem with the UNL Children’s Justice Clinic, representing children facing harm or neglect. His experience extends to working as a litigation intern with the Project Harmony/Foster Care Review Office, overseeing Nebraska youth in out-of-home placements, and as a legal intern with the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office.

Before pursuing his law degree, Jared completed his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and English, concentrating on Theory and Early Modern English Literature, at the University of Nebraska. He also achieved minors in Women’s and Gender Studies, LGBTQA/Sexuality Studies, and Japanese. Licensed to practice in Nebraska, Jared has operated his own law practice as a self-employed attorney and mediator, representing clients in divorce, custody, and criminal cases. His work with families in crisis has provided him with valuable expertise in juvenile court and child mistreatment/neglect proceedings.

Prior to his legal career, Jared served as a Program Specialist with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, where he proposed and monitored legislation impacting Nebraska’s child support program. Additionally, as a Family Mediator at The Mediation Center, he facilitated parenting plans and financial agreements for divorcing or separating parents.
