James Demetras

James Demetras is a dedicated attorney with extensive experience in the Nevada legal system. Practicing primarily in bankruptcy law, business reorganization, and mining, he offers comprehensive legal services to both individual and business clients. His practice extends to all levels of Nevada's federal and state courts, including the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

A native of Nevada, Mr. Demetras graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Utah before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona. He was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 1991.

Prior to founding Demetras Law, Mr. Demetras gained invaluable experience as a law clerk for five years in the federal bankruptcy court, working with Judges James H. Thompson, Bert M. Goldwater, and Gregg W. Zive.

He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Nevada, the Federal District Court of Nevada, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the Northern Nevada Bankruptcy, Washoe County, and American Bar Associations. He is also affiliated with the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr. Demetras has contributed to the legal field as the co-author of 'Domestic Relations and Bankruptcy Law' and has participated in various seminar panels, such as 'How To Get Results in Collection Of Delinquent Debts in Nevada' and 'Nevada Foreclosure and Repossession.'
