Michael Pastacaldi

Michael Pastacaldi graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law and gained early experience as a judicial extern for Honorable Mark Falk, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey. During law school, he worked part-time at a mid-sized firm in Hudson County focusing on civil litigation.

After earning his law degree, Mr. Pastacaldi served as a judicial clerk to Honorable Paul M. DePascale, J.S.C., in the criminal division of Hudson County, New Jersey. Transitioning to private practice, he represented doctors and hospitals across New Jersey at a civil defense firm, while also handling criminal defense cases at both trial and appellate levels.

In 2011, Mr. Pastacaldi established his own law firm, providing personalized legal services. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Washington D.C., and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Mr. Pastacaldi has tried over fifty cases in New Jersey's Superior Courts and has significant experience in appellate advocacy for criminal and family law matters. His notable achievements include recognition by the New Jersey Law Journal and Newark Star Ledger in 2014 for his post-conviction relief work in State of New Jersey v. Rodney Roberts. He also successfully represented the plaintiff in Fernandes v. Arantes.

In a landmark case, Mr. Pastacaldi argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court in 2014, securing a reversal of conviction in State of New Jersey v. John Tate, leading to the dismissal of all charges.
