Jeremy M Lackey

Jeremy M Lackey is a highly experienced criminal attorney located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Prior to co-founding Lackey & Miller, LLC, Mr. Lackey served as an Assistant Prosecutor for the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and as a Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. In his prosecutorial roles, he investigated and presented hundreds of cases to the grand jury and managed numerous cases from detention hearings to sentencing.

Mr. Lackey possesses extensive courtroom and trial expertise, having argued on various topics during motion hearings and tried a broad spectrum of criminal cases, including burglary, robbery, and murder. He is one of the few trial attorneys with experience examining experts in specialized fields such as forensic pathology, toxicology, DNA and serology, forensic chemistry, controlled dangerous substances, ballistics, firearms, electronic device examination, and GPS/historical cell site data.

During his tenure in Burlington County, Mr. Lackey was part of the Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force, focusing on prosecuting weapons offenses, drug distribution, and drug-induced death cases. He also attended the Top Gun training program, an intensive course for New Jersey law enforcement on advanced drug investigation techniques and search warrant execution.

As a Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Lackey worked in the Gangs and Organized Crime Bureau, where he led multi-defendant cases and wiretap investigations, resulting in charges such as racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder, drug production, and firearms trafficking. Mr. Lackey is dedicated to justice, advocating for his clients' rights and ensuring their voices are heard throughout the legal process.
