Laurie L Newmark

Laurie L Newmark is a founding partner at Townsend, Tomaio & Newmark, where she dedicates her practice exclusively to family law. Since completing her Family Part judicial clerkship with the Superior Court of New Jersey in 1998, Laurie has become a seasoned litigator frequently appearing in courts across Northern and Central New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, the State of New York, and the District Court of New Jersey.

Laurie is committed to treating every client with respect and compassion, recognizing the unique needs of mothers, fathers, husbands, and wives. She ensures that her clients are empowered to make informed decisions throughout their legal journey. Laurie's credentials include certification by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her education also includes participation in an international comparative law program through American University, Washington College of Law, and completion of the American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute in Houston, Texas.

Outside of her legal practice, Laurie is a dedicated mother of two and has contributed to the community by serving on the board of trustees for CASA, an organization advocating for children in the court system. Her combination of professional expertise and personal dedication makes her an exceptional advocate for her clients.
