Nicole A. Kobis

Nicole A. Kobis, a seasoned attorney based in Newark, New Jersey, focuses her practice on family law. She adeptly handles cases involving divorce, custody, spousal support, child support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence. Nicole is proficient in drafting complex pre and post-judgment motions and nondissolution applications, as well as negotiating and drafting marital settlement agreements.

In 2017, Nicole achieved accreditation as a New Jersey Family and Divorce Mediator, enabling her to assist both individuals and fellow attorneys in mediation.

Before joining her current firm, Nicole gained invaluable experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Katherine R. Dupuis, P.J.F.P., at the New Jersey Superior Court in Union County. Her clerkship focused exclusively on family law, particularly pre and post-judgment matrimonial matters such as child support, alimony, parenting time, and equitable distribution. This role provided her with a unique perspective on the judicial system, enriching her ability to develop strategic insights for her clients.

Nicole earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter. Her student note, "Beauty is in the Eye of the Retoucher: Why Photoshopped Magazine Images Require Regulation," was published in Volume 33 of the journal.

During her law school years, Nicole interned for the Honorable Thomas M. Moore, J.S.C., and the Honorable Paul J. Vichness, J.S.C. (ret.), at the New Jersey Superior Court in Essex County, working on issues related to domestic violence and civil matters.

Nicole actively participates in the legal community as a member of both the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Union County Bar Association.
