Maurice McLaughlin

Maurice W. McLaughlin is a founding member of McLaughlin & Nardi, LLC, where he spearheads the firm’s litigation practice. He is admitted to the bars of New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and the United States Supreme Court. Maurice handles a broad spectrum of legal matters, including complex negotiations, litigation, and transactions, practicing in state, federal, and administrative courts across the Northeast.

Maurice's extensive legal experience includes serving as a law clerk for Judges Barbara A. Curran and Frances L. Antonin in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County. He has a wealth of experience as a litigator, adept in both trying cases and negotiating settlements. Additionally, Maurice serves as a mediator for disputes between private parties and is appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey to mediate litigated matters. He also mentors new mediators under the court's appointment.

From 1999 to 2010, Maurice was an adjunct professor at the Public Administration Institute of Farleigh Dickinson University, where he taught law, ethics, and communications. His background includes service as a United States Naval officer during Operation Earnest Will in the Iran-Iraq Tanker War and as a United States Merchant Marine officer.

Maurice is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, participating in its commercial and employment law sections and the Pro Bono Committee, which he chaired from 2006 to 2010. He is a Trustee of the Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce, serving Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, and Belleville, New Jersey. Additionally, Maurice is involved in community activities, including leadership roles with Cub Scout Pack 22 and the Saint Thomas The Apostle School Sports Association.
