About Michael P. Jasso
Michael P. Jasso grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Trinity University, focusing on political science education. After college, he began his career teaching at a Montessori School in San Antonio. While teaching, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology, which seamlessly transitioned into his legal career.
After meeting his wife, Heather, who hailed from Albuquerque, Michael moved there and taught Humanities at Amy Biehl High School. During this time, he was the first teacher from New Mexico chosen for the Supreme Court StreetLaw Institute in Washington D.C., a program designed to help educators convey complex legal concepts to students. This experience rekindled his passion for law, leading him to apply to the University of New Mexico School of Law.
Michael completed his J.D. in two and a half years, graduating Order of the Coif and Magna Cum Laude. During law school, he externed at the New Mexico Supreme Court and clerked with Montgomery & Andrews. Upon graduation, he joined Guebert Bruckner P.C., where he gained valuable insights into how insurance companies and defense firms handle cases.
