Karen Holmes

Karen Holmes is a seasoned attorney with licenses in both California and New Mexico. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in English, graduating Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Bakersfield, in 2000. Before pursuing law, she gained valuable experience as a Production Coordinator at Pappas Teleproductions (KMPH TV) and as a Legal Assistant at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP, now known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

In 2004, Karen enrolled at the William & Mary School of Law, where she excelled academically. She was honored with the Gambrell Professionalism Award and received accolades for her legal research, writing, analysis, and trial and appellate practice. Karen's leadership skills were evident as she served as Co-Chair of the Institute of the Bill of Rights Law and volunteered as a Student Liaison for the American Bar Association.

After graduating in 2007, Karen completed a clerkship with Justice Ron Robie at the California Court of Appeals. She then worked as a contract attorney with the Central California Appellate Project from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, Karen and her husband embarked on a sailing adventure across the Pacific Ocean before settling down to start a family.

For the past five years, Karen has successfully managed her own law firm in Northern New Mexico, focusing on family law and estate planning. She is also expanding her practice through online video courses, available at Online Legal Tutorials. Her compassionate and informative approach aims to provide clients with confidence and clarity in their legal matters.
