Greg T. Rinckey

Greg T. Rinckey, Esq. is the Managing Partner of Tully Rinckey PLLC, where he specializes in military law, federal employment and discrimination litigation, and national security clearance mitigation. His legal expertise was honed during his service with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he prosecuted and defended military personnel in more than 100 felony cases, including charges from drug possession to murder.

Mr. Rinckey has extensive experience representing federal and private sector employees in proceedings before the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Office of Special Counsel. Since co-founding Tully Rinckey with Mathew B. Tully, Esq. in 2004, he has established himself as a leader in military and federal employment law.

In addition to his legal practice, Greg Rinckey is appointed to the Committee on Character and Fitness for the State of New York Appellate Division's Third Judicial District, where he interviews prospective attorneys for admission to the New York State Bar. He also serves as a certified New York State attorney for the child, representing children in family court litigation. His leadership includes a three-year term on the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, beginning in 2010.

Mr. Rinckey is a sought-after legal commentator, frequently providing insights on military and employment discrimination issues to media outlets such as FOX News, CBS, and YNN.

Prior to entering private practice, Greg Rinckey served as an attorney in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and was selected as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, prosecuting cases on federal property in Hampton Roads. His final active duty role was at the Defense Appellate Division in Washington, DC, where he crafted criminal appellate briefs and argued appeals. He was honorably discharged in April 2004.

Major decisions and appeals won by Mr. Rinckey include cases such as Wellein v. Department of Justice, Collins v. Department of Agriculture, and Garcia v. Department of State.

His professional affiliations include membership in the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Judge Advocates Association, and an appointment to the Committee on Character and Fitness for the State of New York Appellate Division's Third Judicial District. He is certified by the National Association of Securities Dealers.
