Kaitlin Foley

Kaitlin Foley serves as the managing attorney at The Colwell Law Group, a role she has held since joining the firm in August 2016. She earned her law degree cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University in May 2016. During her studies, Kaitlin was actively involved as the Executive Editor of Research and Writing for Albany Law Review, held the position of Family Law Associate on the Moot Court Board, and worked as a Teaching Assistant in Criminal Law under Professor Vincent Bonventre. She is admitted to the New York State Bar and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Kaitlin began her legal career at the New York State Office of the Attorney General in the Health Care Bureau, where she assisted claimants with health care costs and insurance issues. She then gained valuable experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Randolph F. Treece of the Northern District of New York through Albany Law School’s externship program, where she drafted legal decisions, conducted research, and participated in decision revisions.

Her interest in Matrimonial and Family Law was sparked during an internship with a family law firm, where she engaged in legal research, document drafting, and attended court appearances. Before attending law school, Kaitlin completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University at Albany, SUNY in 2012.
