Mary Theresa Colwell

Mary Theresa Colwell is a seasoned attorney with a strong foundation in Criminal Law, having graduated from Albany Law School in 2001. During her time at Albany Law, she actively participated in the Moot Court Board, the Women's Law Caucus, and served as Vice-President of the Italian-American Law Students Association.

Ms. Colwell was admitted to the New Jersey State bar in December 2001 and the New York State bar in January 2002. Her credentials also include admissions to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Northern District of New York. In 2005, she was honored with admission to the United States Supreme Court.

Her legal career began at the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in the Motions and Appeals Bureau, where she gained valuable prosecutorial experience. She then joined Hobbie, Corrigan, Bertuccio & Taschy, where she enhanced her skills in general practice. In 2003, Ms. Colwell returned to Albany, joining the Law Offices of Alice K. Berke, P.C., to focus on Matrimonial/Family Law, Real Estate, Vehicle and Traffic Law, and Criminal Law.

In 2008, Mary joined her husband, Kevin, at CCP. She is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the Capital District Women’s Bar Association. Her practice continues to emphasize Matrimonial/Family Law, Real Estate, Vehicle and Traffic Law, and Criminal Law, while she remains adept in various general practice areas.
