Scott Barbour

Scott A. Barbour offers expert legal representation to corporate and institutional clients in diverse civil and commercial litigation matters. His key practice areas include railroad, products liability, and contract litigation. Scott is also adept in mediation and arbitration for civil disputes.

Scott's extensive trial and appellate experience spans federal and state courts across New York. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He actively participates in the legal community as a member of the New York State Bar Committee on Federal Practice, the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, and serves as Co-chair of the ADR Committee of the Northern District of New York.

Scott completed his B.S., magna cum laude, at Syracuse University, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication in 1981, and earned his J.D., cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law in 1984. He has achieved the highest peer review rating, AV Preeminent, from Martindale-Hubbell.
