Abby Pendleton

Abby Pendleton, a founding partner of The Health Law Partners, P.C., has been a dedicated practitioner of healthcare law since 1996. She earned her degree Magna Cum Laude from Wayne State University Law School, where she was also inducted into the Order of the Coif. During her time at Wayne State, Ms. Pendleton contributed significantly to the Wayne State Law Review, serving as a Senior Articles Editor, and received the American Jurisprudence Book Awards in Contracts and Criminal Law, along with the Deloitte and Touche LLP Award for excellence in tax law.

Ms. Pendleton's legal expertise encompasses a wide range of healthcare-related issues. She advises healthcare providers and organizations on compliance, Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs), Medicare and other payor audits, fraud and abuse, reimbursement matters, HIPAA Privacy and Security, as well as physician staff privilege and licensure matters. Her specialization extends to addressing legal challenges faced by billing and management companies, anesthesia and pain management providers, hospice providers, and mental health agencies.

An active member of the legal community, Ms. Pendleton holds membership in the State Bar of Michigan (Health Care Law Section), the American Health Lawyer's Association, the Health Care Compliance Association, the Medical Group Management Association, and the Michigan Medical Group Management Association.
