She earned her Associate’s degree in Agriculture Science from Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois, where she excelled in livestock judging.

Continuing her education at Texas A & M University, Cari received her Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science. She was a member of both the Livestock and Meat Animal Evaluation judging teams and participated in organizations such as Saddle and Sirloin and Texas Aggie Cattlewomen. During her time at Texas A & M, Cari was selected for the Congressional Agriculture and Natural Resource Policy Internship Program, gaining insight into agriculture law and policy while working for Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX).
