Daniela F. Henriques

Daniela F. Henriques began her legal journey at Leav & Steinberg in 2002, driven by a commitment to advocate for the seriously injured. While attending law school full-time, she worked as a paralegal, demonstrating her dedication to the field. She graduated cum laude from New York Law School and received the New York State Bar Association Legal Ethics Award.

In 2005, Ms. Henriques joined the firm as a lawyer, where she expertly handled case investigations, client and witness interviews, as well as drafting and overseeing pleadings. Her role also included writing and arguing appeals and motions, conducting examinations before trial, and preparing for court appearances and trials.

Ms. Henriques became the managing attorney at the firm in 2012 and was named partner in 2013. Her legal acumen has been recognized in Super Lawyers magazine as a New York Metro Rising Star for 2013, 2014, and 2015. Her expertise in legal research, analysis, and writing has made her an invaluable asset, particularly in preparing and arguing pre-trial motions related to labor law claims, municipal and premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents.

Since joining Leav & Steinberg, Ms. Henriques has successfully prepared and argued appeals in both the Second and First Departments of the Appellate Division. Her ability to effectively argue the application of facts to governing law often secures favorable judgments, avoiding the need for liability trials. Additionally, her strong opposition to dismissal motions frequently keeps defendants in cases, contributing to settlements for plaintiffs.
