Mr. Richard S. Jaffe

Richard S. Jaffe began his legal career at the Law Office of Stephen M. Cohen, working as a paralegal while attending law school at night. During this time, he gained valuable experience in drafting motions, memoranda of law, and conducting comprehensive legal research, particularly in insurance, liability, and healthcare issues.

Upon his admission to the bar, Richard advanced to an associate position, where he represented seriously injured individuals, healthcare facilities, and doctors. As a Junior Partner, he managed the firm's paralegal and investigation teams. Now, as a name partner, he continues to practice in Personal Injury, Insurance Law, Products Liability, Lead Paint Poisoning, and Public Entity Liability. He oversees the workflow for six associate attorneys and the support staff, frequently engaging with major insurance carriers like Allstate and State Farm, focusing on accident liability and wrongful denial of medical payments in no-fault cases.

Richard also provides counsel to healthcare practitioners and facilities on a range of issues, including management service agreements, collections, and liability. He handles significant personal injury cases and leads the firm's Bankruptcy Department, emphasizing a stress-free and accessible approach to the bankruptcy process.

In addition to his legal practice, Richard volunteers as a firefighter and medic (AEMT-CC) with the Jericho Fire Department and Brentwood Legion Ambulance, demonstrating his commitment to community service.
