Christopher Marlborough

Christopher Marlborough established the Marlborough Law Firm to champion the rights of workers facing wage theft. His practice focuses on issues such as unpaid minimum wages, overtime, off-the-clock work, and misclassification as independent contractors. Since 2004, Christopher has dedicated his legal career to complex class and collective action cases, concentrating on these areas since 2007.

Christopher's academic credentials include a magna cum laude undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Purchase and a magna cum laude juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School. His commitment to employment law has earned him numerous accolades, including the Courageous Counsel Award from the National Employment Lawyers’ Association, NY Chapter (NELA-NY), and recognition as a Top Lawyer of Long Island in Employment Law by the Long Island Herald.

He has also received the Solotoff Award for Professional Achievement in Employment Law from the Nassau County Bar Association (NCBA), Labor and Employment Committee. His recognition extends to being named a Rising Star by SuperLawyers Magazine in 2013 and 2014, and receiving the SuperLawyers Award from 2015 to the present.

Christopher has served as Chair and Vice Chair of the NCBA Labor and Employment Committee and is currently a member of the Legislation Committee for NELA-NY. He also contributes to the Advisory Council for Documented-NY, focusing on issues impacting immigrant communities in New York City.

Since founding his firm in 2013, Christopher has led numerous certified class action cases, achieving significant settlements, including a $7,140,000 settlement for portable toilet service technicians at Call-A-Head and an $11,000,000 settlement for employees of a New York discount store chain. His ongoing commitment is to advocate for workers' rights and ensure fair treatment in the workplace.
