Jessica Murzyn

Jessica A. Murzyn, a senior counsel at Lax, Neville & Intelisano, LLP since April 2013, is recognized for her expertise in securities arbitrations and litigation. She adeptly represents both individual and institutional investors against financial firms.

Before her current role, Ms. Murzyn was an associate at Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP from October 2008 to March 2013. There, she skillfully handled securities, real estate, and general commercial litigation and arbitrations. Notably, she secured an amicable settlement for a high net worth client in a FINRA arbitration and achieved a favorable arbitration award for a real estate LLC in a JAMS arbitration. She also defended an individual in an SEC enforcement action involving insider trading allegations in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Ms. Murzyn's legal journey began in 1999 at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she represented corporations and financial firms in complex securities, insurance, RICO, and general commercial litigation, as well as government investigations.

She obtained her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and her Bachelor of Arts in English from Columbia University in 1994. Ms. Murzyn is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
