Simone N. Archer

Simone N. Archer is a distinguished litigator with a rich legal background, practicing in diverse areas of law. She fulfills the role of Administrative Law Judge/Hearing Officer for the City of New York at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH). Ms. Archer's legal career encompasses experience in both small and large law firms.

Before assuming her position as the managing member at Archer Harvey & Smith, LLC, Ms. Archer was a trial attorney specializing in personal injury and medical malpractice. Her career also includes serving as in-house counsel for a major insurance company, where she focused on insurance defense.

Ms. Archer's professional journey began before law school, where she worked as an insurance agent and claims adjuster for a major insurance firm. Her commitment to community service is evident through her pro bono work with organizations in New York City, such as the Varick Removal Defense Project, Lawyers’ Foreclosure Intervention Network, and the New York County Lawyers’ Association’s ‘Project Restore’ and Safe Passage Program. Her pro bono efforts include representing clients in immigration removal proceedings, special immigrant juvenile matters, and foreclosure prevention cases.

Outside her professional commitments, Ms. Archer enjoys running, writing, and traveling. She has successfully completed her fifth New York City Marathon as of November 2021. Ms. Archer is admitted to practice in New York State courts and the Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts of New York, offering her services to clients statewide and immigration clients globally.
