Kevin Charles Harp

Kevin Charles Harp is an associate at the law firm of Mainetti, Mainetti & O’Connor, P.C. in Middletown, New York. He focuses his practice on Personal Injury litigation, Civil Defense, and Misdemeanor and Felony Criminal Defense. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University at Albany and went on to attend Albany Law School, where he served as Third Year Class President and was a member of the Trial Team that triumphed in the Northeast Regional Competition in Rhode Island.

After graduating, Kevin joined the family firm, Harp & Harp, where he practiced in diverse areas such as commercial transactions, matrimonial law, family law, real property law, and estate law. In December 2004, he transitioned to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, gaining extensive trial experience in criminal law.

Kevin's tenure at the District Attorney’s Office saw him promoted to Senior Assistant, where he managed the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team and supervised attorneys on drug cases. Over his prosecutorial career, Kevin tried over 20 felony cases, including high-profile charges like murder (second chair), assault, gang assault, burglary, robbery, grand larceny, drug possession and sales, rape, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Kevin is adept at handling complex cases, having successfully tried circumstantial evidence cases, a shooting case without the victim's testimony, and a cold case burglary trial.
