Matthew T. Bennett III

Matthew T. Bennett III serves as an associate attorney in the Criminal Law Department at Larkin Ingrassia Andrews Criminal Defense Attorneys, based in Kingston, NY. Since joining the firm in September 2023, he has concentrated his practice on criminal defense, including DWI/DUI defense and traffic ticket defense. Known for his strong legal skills and dedication, Attorney Bennett provides strategic and thorough defenses for clients facing criminal charges in Kingston and nearby areas.

Prior to his current role, Attorney Bennett gained valuable experience as an Assistant District Attorney in Sullivan and Orange Counties for over four years. During this time, he successfully managed a diverse range of cases, including high-stakes trials for serious offenses such as attempted murder, narcotics possession, and driving while intoxicated (DWI). This prosecutorial experience, along with his previous tenure as a criminal defense attorney at a prominent Orange County firm, equips him with a comprehensive understanding of both prosecution and defense tactics.

Attorney Bennett received his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island, and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in New York and Arizona (inactive).

In addition to his legal practice, Attorney Bennett actively participates in several professional organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National College of DUI Defense.
