About Michele Lyn Babcock
Michele Lyn Babcock is the Managing Partner at Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP, having joined the firm in 2003 and advanced to Partner by 2011. She adeptly represents local governments, municipal officials, and private applicants in matters of zoning, land use, and environmental permitting, as well as in related litigation.
Ms. Babcock was admitted to the New York State Bar in March 2004. She is an active member of both the New York State Bar Association and the Women’s Bar of Orange and Sullivan Counties. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Law and Justice from the State University of New York at Cortland, obtained in 2000, and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, earned in 2003. During her law studies, she had the unique opportunity to study at the Faculte de Droit de I’Universite de Nice under the guidance of the Hon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, United States Supreme Court Justice.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Babcock contributes to her community as a board member of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum.
