About Robert S. Iwrey
Robert S. Iwrey is a founding partner of The Health Law Partners, P.C., with a distinguished career in healthcare law. He graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988, where he was an Executive Member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society and a Golden Key National Honor Society member. In 1993, he earned his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, receiving the American Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Writing and excelling in Moot Court.
Mr. Iwrey has been a practicing litigator since 1993 and has focused on healthcare transactional law since 1999. His expertise spans a wide range of healthcare law areas, including licensure, staff privileges, contracts, physician practice issues, and healthcare investigations and audit defense.
Admitted to the Michigan Bar and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan in 1993, Mr. Iwrey also gained admission to the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan in 2003 and the New York Bar in 2009. He is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan (Health Care Law Section), the State Bar of New York (Health Law Section), the American Health Lawyer's Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association.
Mr. Iwrey was elected to the governing board of the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section from 2005 to 2011, serving two consecutive terms as Treasurer and chairing the Pro–Bono Work Group. He also chaired the Oakland County Medical–Legal Committee and the HCLS Website Committee & Technology Subcommittee. His professional excellence is recognized by an AV rating from Martindale–Hubbell, his designation as a SuperLawyer in Health Care since 2004, and his status as a Fellow of the HCLS.
