Jonathan Blair Biser

Jonathan Blair Biser is a dedicated partner at Hardison & Cochran, where he oversees the firm's active Social Security Disability division. His primary goal is to streamline the often complex and bureaucratic process of securing disability benefits for his clients. Biser acknowledges the inherent delays in the system but strives to guide clients efficiently through each step.

Biser's journey into Social Security Disability law began during his undergraduate years at Wake Forest University, where he worked in his uncle's law office focused on Social Security cases. This experience sparked his interest in the field. Upon earning his B.A. in Psychology in 2002, he pursued a legal education at North Carolina Central University School of Law. There, he contributed to the Law Review and led the student Trial Advocacy Board. As a student attorney in the district attorney's office, he gained valuable courtroom experience before graduating magna cum laude in 2005 and joining Hardison & Cochran.

At the firm, Biser's work spans from assisting clients with initial SSD applications to navigating the appeals process. He frequently represents clients at administrative hearings and has argued numerous appellate cases in the Eastern and Middle U.S. District Courts for North Carolina. Recognizing the frustration clients face due to lengthy benefit approval times and denied claims, Biser emphasizes the importance of providing support and reassurance.

In 2010, the North Carolina State Bar recognized Biser as a Board Certified Specialist in Social Security Law, affirming his specialized training and expertise. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker on Social Security Disability topics, sharing his knowledge with broader audiences.
