Anna Hamrick

Anna Hamrick, a North Carolina native, has been a dedicated legal professional for more than 23 years. She earned her B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991 and her law degree from George Washington University in 1994. Initially licensed in Virginia in 1994 and Washington, D.C. in 1995, Anna returned to North Carolina in 1996, where she has focused her practice on Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability.

Anna holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, reflecting high peer review ratings in legal ability and ethical standards. Her expertise has been recognized in the 2018 and 2019 editions of Best Lawyers In America® for Workers Compensation Law-Claimants and in North Carolina Super Lawyers® for 2015-2016, 2018, and 2019.

Currently, Anna serves as the State Bar Councilor for the 28th Judicial District and volunteers as a Mountain Area Volunteer Attorney, assisting those seeking Medicaid for the disabled. Her past roles include president of the WNC Chapter of the N.C. Association of Women Attorneys, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Medico-Legal Liaison Committee, and a board member of both Pisgah Legal Services and Hanger Hall School for Girls, as well as Pathways, Life After Cancer.

Anna is affiliated with the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the North Carolina Bar Association. She is an active sustaining member of the Junior League of Asheville and the DAR, Ruth Davidson Chapter.

Before joining Grimes Teich Anderson LLP, Anna was a partner at Broker and Hamrick, PA. She resides in Asheville with her husband and two daughters.
