Anthony Ryan Morrow

Anthony Ryan Morrow embarked on his journey of service at the age of 17 by enlisting in the U.S. Navy as a Yeoman. His military career included deployments to the Middle East and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He retired from the JAG Corps, where he gained experience prosecuting courts-martial and advising on significant contracts and environmental projects.

After obtaining his law degree, Anthony joined the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, the second-largest prosecutor’s office in the nation. For 18 months, he managed 10 to 30 hearings daily, focusing on child abuse and neglect cases within the Child Protective Services Division. There, he benefited from mentorship by experienced prosecutors dedicated to nurturing future trial attorneys.

To broaden his legal expertise, Anthony pursued an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy in San Diego, concentrating on federal criminal defense. During his studies, he interned with a well-regarded Criminal Justice Act (CJA) attorney, aiding clients facing serious federal charges.

Following his LL.M., Anthony attended the CJA Trial Skills Academy, an intensive program led by federal defenders and top private practitioners. This training, which involved presenting defense cases for critique, honed his litigation skills and deepened his commitment to client-centered advocacy in the courtroom.
