Jonathan Blair Biser

Jonathan Blair Biser serves as a partner at Hardison & Cochran, where he manages the Social Security Disability division. His mission is to streamline the often intricate and bureaucratic process of securing disability benefits for his clients. "It can be a slow process to begin with," he notes, "But we do our best to help our clients maneuver through the process as efficiently as possible."

Biser's journey into Social Security Disability law began during his undergraduate years at Wake Forest University, working at his uncle's law office, which specialized in Social Security cases. This experience sparked his interest in the field. He earned his B.A. in psychology in 2002 and pursued a law degree at North Carolina Central University School of Law. There, he contributed to the Law Review and led the student Trial Advocacy Board. In his third year, he gained courtroom experience as a student attorney in the district attorney’s office. Graduating magna cum laude in 2005, he immediately joined Hardison & Cochran.

In his role at the firm, Biser handles a broad spectrum of tasks, from assisting with initial SSD applications to navigating the appeals process. He regularly represents clients at administrative hearings and has argued numerous cases on appeal in the Eastern and Middle U.S. District Courts for North Carolina. Understanding the frustration clients face due to delays and appeals, Biser emphasizes the importance of support throughout the process.

In 2010, the North Carolina State Bar recognized Biser as a Board Certified Specialist in Social Security Law, a testament to his specialized training and expertise. He is also a frequent speaker on Social Security Disability topics, sharing his knowledge with peers and the public.
