About Jeff Thompson
Jeff Thompson, originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, graduated with honors from Fort Lauderdale Christian School and joined the Honors Program at the University of Georgia. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and subsequently completed his law degree at the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was an officer in the Demosthenian Society, focusing on oral argument and debate.
Before moving to North Carolina, Mr. Thompson practiced various litigation types in Georgia and Florida, including personal injury, wrongful death, and admiralty and maritime cases. Since relocating to Charlotte in 1995, he has concentrated on criminal litigation, representing individuals charged with DWI/DUI, felonies, and misdemeanors in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, Catawba, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, and Stanly counties.
Jeff is married to his wife Bobbie, and they have one daughter. He is an enthusiastic athlete, actively participating in golf and tennis tournaments. Additionally, he dedicates time to teaching and mentoring young people through tennis and involvement with the Special Olympics.
Mr. Thompson is a member in good standing of the North Carolina State Bar, the Georgia State Bar, and the Florida State Bar. He is also admitted to the Southern District of Florida Federal Bar.
