Valerie M. Hein Hunter

Valerie M. Hein Hunter is a seasoned attorney practicing in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Her journey in law began in Alabama, where she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. At the Charlotte School of Law, Valerie excelled as the president of the Trial Advocacy Board, gaining invaluable experience by trying cases before attorneys and judges nationwide.

Valerie's professional development continued at the Cochran Firm, a nationally recognized law firm, where she further honed her legal expertise. Her tenure as a clerk for a Mecklenburg County District Court judge provided her with unique insights from the bench. In addition to her work at Hunter & Hein, she actively volunteers with Legal Aid of North Carolina, assisting clients with issues such as contract disputes and landlord/tenant matters.

Valerie is a committed member of the legal community, serving as appointed counsel on the Mecklenburg County Indigent Defense List. She is a member of the NC State Bar and participates in the Criminal Defense and Estate Planning sections of the Mecklenburg County Bar. Her dedication to litigation has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Association, naming her one of the 2014 Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and she is listed in the 2014 Global Directory of Who's Who Among Women Lawyers.

Beyond her legal career, Valerie is the Co-Founder and Vice-President of the Highland Creek Business Association in Charlotte, NC. She enjoys various hobbies, including running, gardening, painting, drawing, knitting/crocheting, and cooking.
