Stephanie K. Faris

Stephanie K. Faris joined the Cary Estate Planning team in May 2023 as an Estate Planning Lawyer. With eight years of experience as a solo practitioner and pro bono attorney in Pittsboro, North Carolina, she is dedicated to providing client-centered service and believes in proactive planning for all life stages.

Stephanie's educational journey began across various states, including Massachusetts, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Ohio, before she attended Duke University in North Carolina to study comparative religion. After a brief return to Ohio for studies at Miami University, she settled permanently in Chatham County.

While attending law school at North Carolina Central University, Stephanie was actively involved as Symposium Editor of the N.C. Central Law Review, President of OutLaw, and Secretary of the Women’s Law Caucus. Her dedication to service was recognized with the N.C. Bar Association Certificate for over 75 hours of pro bono work, and she received the David Jolly Award for Outstanding Student Leadership. She graduated cum laude.

Currently residing in Pittsboro with her husband, two children, and their dogs, Stephanie enjoys running, gardening, and volunteering with Chatham County Schools and CORA.
