Michael Joseph Barnett

Michael J. Barnett, a partner at the Firm, excels in representing both corporations and individuals in a broad spectrum of litigation matters. His practice areas include Business/Commercial Litigation, Estate and Trust Proceedings, Will Caveats, Incompetency and Guardianship Proceedings, Family Law, Real Estate and Construction Litigation, Collections, Plaintiff’s Personal Injury, and Bankruptcy-Creditors’ Rights. Michael has a proven track record, having represented clients in over 20 trials, as well as arbitration proceedings, and appearing before the North Carolina Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Business Court.

Recognized for his legal acumen, Michael was named one of North Carolina’s Rising Stars from 2012 to 2017 by the Super Lawyers publication. Residing in Hickory, Michael and his wife, Agnese, are proud parents to their daughters, Nicole and Isabel.
