Barbara Szombatfalvy

Barbara Szombatfalvy is a highly committed family law attorney serving clients in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She earned her law degree with honors from the North Carolina Central School of Law in 2005. After gaining valuable experience as an Associate at Donna Ambler Davis's family law firm, she launched her own practice in May 2008.

Barbara is known for her ability to build strong, positive relationships with her clients, guiding them through the complexities of divorce, securing financial stability, and minimizing the impact on children. Her approach is both empathetic and assertive, whether in negotiation or litigation, always prioritizing her clients' best interests.

In 2013, Barbara expanded her expertise by completing training as a collaborative family law attorney, as well as obtaining qualifications as a Guardian Ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator in the Triangle area. Outside of her legal practice, Barbara enjoys hiking, yoga, and reading. She is passionate about animal welfare, actively involved in rescuing and fostering stray and neglected dogs in the Triangle.
