Matt Arnold

Matt Arnold is a distinguished trial attorney with extensive experience in both bench and jury trials throughout North Carolina. He has presented cases before the North Carolina District Court, North Carolina Superior Court, and argued appeals at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, and the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, VA.

A native of Charlotte, Mr. Arnold attended Carmel Junior High, South Charlotte Middle, and graduated from Providence Senior High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology, graduating cum laude from Belmont Abbey College, where he was awarded a basketball scholarship and played varsity basketball for four years. Mr. Arnold pursued his legal education on a full academic scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

At Arnold & Smith, PLLC, Mr. Arnold concentrates his practice on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution, alongside handling personal injury cases such as dog bites, car accidents, and workers' compensation claims. He primarily serves clients in Mecklenburg County, Union County, Cabarrus County, Gaston County, and Iredell County, with the possibility of taking cases beyond the greater Charlotte and Mecklenburg County areas when warranted.
