Valerie M. Hein Hunter

Valerie M. Hein Hunter began her legal journey in Alabama, where she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her interest in law led her to the Charlotte School of Law, where she excelled as the president of the Trial Advocacy Board, gaining valuable experience by trying cases nationwide.

Valerie has enriched her legal expertise through her work with the renowned Cochran Firm and by clerking for a Mecklenburg County District Court judge. Her dedication extends to volunteering with Legal Aid of North Carolina, assisting clients with contract issues and landlord/tenant disputes. She also serves as appointed counsel on the Mecklenburg County Indigent Defense List.

Valerie is an active member of the NC State Bar and participates in the Criminal Defense and Estate Planning sections of the Mecklenburg County Bar. Her courtroom proficiency is reflected in her selection by the National Trial Lawyers Association as one of the 2014 Top 100 Trial Lawyers and her inclusion in the 2014 Global Directory of Who's Who Among Women Lawyers.

Beyond her legal career, Valerie enjoys running, gardening, painting, drawing, knitting, crocheting, and cooking. She is also the Co-Founder and Vice-President of the Highland Creek Business Association in Charlotte, NC.
