Mark Lee Hearp

Mark Lee Hearp joined the Beaver Courie Law Firm on November 10, 2003, and advanced to partner status in 2008. His legal expertise encompasses all stages of criminal representation, including traffic violations, speeding tickets, misdemeanors, felonies, driving while impaired offenses, and federal charges.

Before his tenure at the firm, Mark served as an Assistant District Attorney in Cumberland County for over two years. During this period, he handled hundreds of cases, focusing on driving while impaired offenses and other traffic violations. He also prosecuted numerous major felony cases, such as drug offenses, child sexual assaults, armed robberies, breaking and entering, larcenies, rapes, habitual offenses, and embezzlement.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998 and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law in 2001. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar that same year. At Campbell Law School, he was an elected official in the Student Bar Association, a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, and received top academic honors.

Throughout his career, Mark has received numerous accolades. In 2013, he was recognized as one of the “Top 40 under 40” Trial Lawyers in North Carolina by the National Trial Lawyers Association. From 2013 to 2017, he was listed among the “Top 100 DWI Lawyers in North Carolina” by the National Advocacy of DUI Defense. In 2010, he was voted “Best Lawyer” by the Fayetteville Observer readers. Additionally, he was runner-up for “The Greatest Around Fayetteville” for Best DWI Lawyer in 2013 and named “Best Traffic Ticket Attorney” in Up and Coming Weekly’s Best of Fayetteville in 2017.

Outside of his professional commitments, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and kayaking.
