Mary Lawrence Ellis

Mary Lawrence Ellis has built a distinguished career in law, starting with her seven-year tenure at the Hoke County District Attorney’s Office. Her role involved prosecuting a diverse array of serious felony cases, including domestic violence, drug trafficking, felony assault, child sexual assault, child abuse, rape, and murder. Her commitment to justice is evident in her extensive trial experience and dedication to resolving high-conflict cases.

A native of Hoke County, Mary maintains strong community ties. She graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Psychology and earned her Law Degree from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2017. That same year, she was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar. Returning to Raeford, North Carolina, she continued her legal career.

After advocating for crime victims, Mary shifted her focus to family law. She manages complex cases with skill and provides clear, honest advice. Her practice encompasses absolute divorce, child custody, alimony, separation agreements, and equitable distribution. Mary approaches each case with compassion, ensuring clients receive the support they need during critical times.

Residing in Raeford with her husband Haydon and their son, Mary enjoys family time, beach outings, and participating in fishing tournaments with her two dogs.
