Daniel Deuterman

Daniel Deuterman has dedicated his legal career to advocating for injured workers and their families, securing significant settlements in North Carolina. As a Board Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law, he is part of an elite group of attorneys. Dan is also a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

In 2003, he established the Deuterman Law Group, reflecting his commitment to client advocacy. His leadership extends beyond the courtroom as he actively participates in community service, supporting various charities and organizations alongside his wife, Dawne, through donations and volunteer work. Together, they endow a scholarship at the UNC School of Law.

Dan is politically engaged in safeguarding the rights of injured individuals, notably founding the grassroots organization Protect N.C. Workers. His academic background includes a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987 and a J.D. from the UNC School of Law, with admission to the N.C. State Bar in 1991.

His professional affiliations are extensive, including membership in the N.C. Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), N.C. Bar Association (NCBA), Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG), Greensboro Bar Association (GBA), and the Guilford Inn of Court. In 2005, he was admitted to the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Dan's contributions to the legal field have been recognized with the 2011 Ebbie Award from the NCAJ for his service and commitment to justice for injured workers. That same year, he received another accolade from the workers’ compensation section of the NCAJ for his extraordinary service in preserving justice.
