About Jack Waissen
Jack Waissen is an accomplished injury attorney located in Davidson County, North Carolina. With a deep commitment to research and a strong desire to help those often overlooked by the protective systems, Jack is a formidable advocate for his clients. He graduated summa cum laude from N.C. Central University with a double major in political science and criminal justice, and went on to earn his juris doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2016.
Originally hailing from Basingstoke, England, Jack moved to the United States on a tennis scholarship. He began playing tennis at the age of five and was part of England’s national program during his junior years. At N.C. Central, he not only captained the men's varsity tennis team but also participated in the men's varsity golf team.
Jack's leadership extended to coaching, as he served as an assistant coach for the N.C. Central women’s varsity tennis team for a year. Following his undergraduate studies, he received a full academic scholarship to attend law school in Alabama. There, he worked as a research assistant for several professors, held the position of articles editor for The Journal of the Legal Profession, and volunteered with Raise the Bar, a mentoring program for 6th graders.
During his college years, Jack interned with Durham attorney James E. Rogers, focusing on research and casework. His law school summers were spent as a summer associate at Alabama law firms including Engel, Hairston & Johanson; Boardman, Carr, Bennett, Watkins, Hill & Gamble; Fischer and Associates; and Espy, Nettles, & Scogin. Through these roles, he gained substantial experience in wrongful death, personal injury, insurance defense, and corporate litigation.
Since being admitted to the N.C. State Bar in 2016, Jack has been a vital part of the Deuterman Law Group, where he manages workers’ compensation cases from their Greensboro and Winston-Salem offices.
