Julianna Woodmansee

Julianna Woodmansee has dedicated over two decades to representing clients in family law cases within Durham and Orange County courts. As a proficient Mediator and Collaborative Divorce practitioner, she excels in negotiation and creative problem-solving, achieving favorable outcomes for her clients.

Graduating from UNC Law School in 1990, Julianna began her legal career at Pulley, Watson, King & Lischer in Durham. In 1997, she founded her own family law practice, emphasizing practical and efficient solutions to minimize financial strain and parental disputes for her clients.

Julianna is actively involved in the legal community, holding memberships with the North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina State Bar, 14th Judicial District Bar, 14th Judicial District Bar Association, and North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. She has also organized continuing legal education and mentoring workshops for attorneys.

Her community service includes volunteering for the Durham Rape Crisis Center, the Orange County Women's Center, and the Durham Family Court's Help Desk. As a mother of two high school children, she has served in various school leadership roles, including PTA President. Julianna also contributes to her neighborhood association and has led initiatives on local land-use issues. Additionally, she volunteers with Urban Ministries of Durham, assisting the homeless.

Julianna, along with her husband, John Woodmansee, a teacher at the NC School of Science and Mathematics, enjoys a fulfilling family life. Outside of her professional and community commitments, she is passionate about singing, music, gardening, and traveling.
