About Matthew Burkert

Matthew Burkert, a native of Durham, North Carolina, continues to reside in his hometown. He completed his undergraduate studies at East Carolina University, earning a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2008. Pursuing his passion for law, Matt attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2012.

After passing the North Carolina Bar Exam in February 2013, Matt began his legal career as an associate attorney at the Constantinou Law Group, PA, where he had previously worked as a law clerk since 2010. In April 2023, he co-founded Constantinou & Burkert, PLLC, taking on the role of managing partner.

Outside of his legal practice, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Daisy, and their children, Meelo and Della. He is passionate about outdoor activities, dining, and following sports teams like the Durham Bulls, ECU Pirates, and Duke Blue Devils. Committed to his community, Matt actively supports local organizations through volunteer work and donations.
