Mary Lawrence Ellis

Mary Lawrence Ellis is a committed attorney with a robust background in both felony prosecution and family law. She served for seven years at the Hoke County District Attorney’s Office, where she focused on serious felony cases. Her work encompassed a range of offenses, including domestic violence, drug trafficking, felony assault, child sexual assault, child abuse, rape, and murder. Her extensive trial experience and dedication to high-conflict cases are evident in her meticulous preparation and empathetic approach.

A native of Hoke County, Mary maintains strong community ties. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Meredith College and her Law Degree from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2017. That same year, she was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar. After completing her education, she returned to Raeford, North Carolina, her hometown.

Following her advocacy for crime victims, Mary transitioned her focus to family law, where she expertly handles complex cases.
